Lew Hopson is a singer-songwriter, poet, and performer whose life journey spans military service, medicine, and the arts. Raised on Chicago’s west side, he began singing in church and writing songs at a young age, drawing inspiration from legends like Curtis Mayfield, James Brown, and Etta James.
He has performed across the country, opened for major artists, and appeared in films like Twins and TV shows including Star Trek: The Next Generation. Along the way, he’s continued to refine a soulful, deeply personal sound.
Now based in Los Angeles, Lew blends storytelling and music into a powerful live experience that reflects a lifetime of creativity, resilience, and passion.
